Namma Mentors is an educational guidance and mentorship platform built to help KCET and COMEDK students make more informed engineering college and counselling decisions.
Every year, thousands of students spend years preparing for entrance exams, only to face one of the most important decisions of their academic journey in a short counselling window — choosing the right college and branch. Many students make these decisions with incomplete information, outdated advice, or assumptions that may not reflect the real student experience.
We started Namma Mentors to help bridge that gap.
Our goal is simple: help students make better-informed decisions through practical guidance, historical insights, counselling support, and conversations with seniors who have already experienced the colleges, branches, placements, hostels, and campus life students are considering.
We believe students and parents deserve clear, practical, and trustworthy guidance before making such an important decision.
The Problem We Solve
For many KCET and COMEDK students, college selection and counselling decisions can feel overwhelming.
Students often rely on scattered information from videos, social media, cutoff lists, or advice that may not fully reflect real student experiences. As a result, important decisions about colleges, branches, placements, hostel life, and long-term opportunities are sometimes made without complete context or clarity.
The challenge is often not a lack of information — but finding guidance that is relevant, practical, and student-focused.
Namma Mentors was created to help bridge this gap by combining historical insights, counselling guidance, and conversations with real college seniors and mentors who have already gone through the same process and can share practical experiences to help students make more informed decisions.

At Namma Mentors, we believe students make better decisions when they can learn from people who have already experienced the journey.
Our mentors and college seniors include current students and recent graduates from institutions such as RV College of Engineering (RVCE), PES University, Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT), BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE), and other colleges.
Our focus is on practical student experiences, counselling guidance, and historical insights to help students better understand colleges, branches, placements, hostel life, academics, and campus culture before making important decisions.

Founder
Deepak U Yaliwal is a student mentor, creator, and engineering student passionate about helping KCET aspirants make better college and counselling decisions. Having personally experienced the pressure, confusion, and challenges of engineering entrance preparation and counselling, he started Namma Mentors to help students access practical guidance, real student insights, and more informed decision-making support.
